Seeing the immense success of Samsung Corby handset, the Korean manufacturer has now come up with Corby II S3850. The features seem to be pretty similar to its predecessor. However, there is slight orientation in its design, making the phone look more glamorous. Also, the support for WiFi and a bigger screen makes it a lot better than Corby.
The new Corby 2 features a 3.14 inch QVGA screen, which is a lot as compared to Corby`s 2.8 inch. The phone comes with Samsung`s Social Media Hub software, which allows you to manage various social networking sites, messengers from a single place.
The phone has a 2MP camera just like its predecessor. There is however a better connectivity option this time with features like Bluetooth 3.0, GPRS, USB 2.0 and WiFi being present.
Corby II has a sound music player capable of playing all major file formats. It comes with Samsung`s special TouchWiz Interface, letting you access the apps more smoothly.
The phone has a Java support as well and therefore it allows you to download various Java apps and use it on phone.
Samsung Corby II Price and Availability in India
Samsung has not yet officially announced the price of the handset. However, expect it to be somewhere around Rs. 5,000. It will initially be launched in Germany at the end of March and then will soon be available to India and other parts of the world. The device is available in attractive colours of yellow, pink and white.
My Verdict
Overall, Samsung Corby II seems to be a nice feature-packed handset. It is good for younger generations, who basically like dealing with social networking services and like to showoff a lot. What are your views about the phone? Do let us know your views.
