Free EYE treatment for poor

TIRUPATI: As a New Year gift, Sri Srinivasa Sankara Nethralaya, a charitable trust established by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and Chennai-based Sankara Nethralaya, has announced to provide free out-patient services to the poor.
Surgical services
After setting up a state-of-the-art ophthalmology unit at the TTD's Central Hospital last year to offer cataract surgical services from August last, the trust has now announced to provide free treatment to people with white ration cards and affordable treatment to paying patients.
Array of services
The hospital provides services like fundus fluorescein angiogram, optical coherence tomography, visual field testing, retinal laser, YAG laser, pachymetry and ophthalmic ultrasonography. Details at 93466 86414.
